DKW Engineering

DKW Engineering is a Hampshire precision engineering specialist we have worked with for a number of years, supporting them across branding, marketing materials and exhibition presence.

DKW Engineering were exhibiting at MACH 2014, the UK’s largest event for manufacturing technologies at the NEC Birmingham, and wanted a stand that pushed further than their previous appearance and made them stand out in a competitive exhibition environment.

Having already designed their 2012 MACH show stand, they asked us to find a new approach that would give them greater impact and flexibility. After researching the options together, we agreed on a 3D stand-off style stand with a three-tier display plinth, built using a fabric sock design that was not only visually striking but also practical and machine washable.

Design and visualisation

Before going into production, we designed and conceptually visualised the full stand so DKW Engineering could see exactly how it would look and work in the exhibition space.

The stand was designed to work as a complete set but also independently, giving maximum flexibility for different events and configurations. Every element built on and reinforced the brand identity we had created for DKW Engineering, giving the stand a cohesive and professional presence that felt consistent with everything else the business put its name to.
